Vancis has been awarded the "AMS-IX certified data center" certificate from Amsterdam Internet Exchange, for the data center at Science Park Amsterdam.
Osseyran Anwar, Managing Director Vancis BV: "From the very beginning of AMS-IX, we are working close together in a very pleasant way. We have high standards for both reliability and quality and it is good to see that this level of quality can now be demonstrated through this certificate."
AMS-IX has developed its own certificate to enable - both domestic and foreign -parties to form an objective opinion about the different data centers where a direct connection is possible in the Netherlands. Due to specific environmental factors that apply only to the Dutch data centers, international standards such as the U.S. Tier-classification are not fully applicable. The AMS-IX certified data center certificate is awarded to datacenters that comply to a comprehensive assessment according to technical specifications and requirements, standards specified by AMS-IX, operational requirements and especially the technical design and management of the data center. Also the location and building, fire and safety, power, cooling, monitoring and surveillance are being assessed. (Vancis)
