The new Café Restaurant is adjacent to the Anna Hoeve farm at Science Park Amsterdam. The owners, Hans van Twist and Dick Spanjer, are no strangers to the Amsterdam catering world: they also own the Plancius restaurant in the city centre and started out in the 1990s with Spanjer & Van Twist in de Nes.
Polder is currently using temporary accommodation on Science Park road (formerly Kruislaan). The proprietors saw this as a challenge, building Polder with minimal resources literally from the ground up.
Polder is also suitable for business meetings: it has a separate room for meetings and presentations. A cultural programme is organized on summer weekends.
